Axiom’s Future Talent Recognised as Made in Wales Awards Finalists
Axiom has been shortlisted for three Insider Made in Wales Awards, all recognising the strength of our apprenticeship programme. The nominations include the Manufacturing Future Talent Award and two Apprentice of the Year shortlists, with both Cole Parry and Georgia Barrett-Wyatt named as finalists.

Now in its 15th year, Insider's Made in Wales Awards celebrate innovation, excellence and business success across the Welsh manufacturing sector.

With the awards ceremony taking place on Thursday 23 October 2025 at the Cardiff Marriott Hotel, we’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our apprentices and recognising our wider team’s commitment to nurturing young talent throughout the business.

Our nomination for the Manufacturing Future Talent Award highlights our collaborative partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, which supports future skills development through work placements, STEM workshops, equipment donations and a leading apprenticeship programme for both Engineering and Business Administration students.

Cole Parry, 23, from Porth, has been shortlisted for his outstanding work in the mechanical engineering department. Learning from a senior machinist with over 40 years of experience, Cole has become a key member of the mechanical tool room.

Georgia Barrett-Wyatt, 25, from Newbridge, is a finalist thanks to her dedication across dual roles in both BDG and Planning departments, while also playing a key role in mentoring our newest administration apprentice.

Chris Nye, Managing Director at Axiom, commented: “It’s fantastic to see the strength of our apprenticeship programme and the outstanding achievements of our apprentices being recognised. We’re proud to play a role in developing future talent and acting as a launchpad for the next generation of industry professionals.”
