Axiom Manufacturing Services has been named a regional finalist in five categories at the prestigious Make UK Awards. These nominations celebrate key achievements made between 2024 and 2025, with Axiom contending in the following categories: Business Growth and Strategy, Developing Future Talent, Business Apprentice: Final Year (Georgia Barrett-Wyatt), and Engineering Apprentice: Final Year (Cole Parry & Olivia Jones).
The awards celebrate excellence, innovation, and talent within the UK manufacturing sector. Winners will be announced at the Welsh regional dinner, held at The Vale Resort, Hensol, on Thursday, 6th November 2025.
Building on previous success, Axiom was recognised at last year’s awards when apprentice Olivia Jones won the title of Engineering Apprentice: Rising Star 2024.
Chris Nye, Managing Director at Axiom, shared: "Being shortlisted for these awards is a fantastic recognition of the hard work and dedication across the Axiom team. Our continued growth in the manufacturing sector, along with the success of our apprentices and apprenticeship programme, highlights the impact of our approach to nurturing talent and driving innovation in UK manufacturing.”

Axiom's nomination for Business Growth and Strategy is the result of double-digit growth, the development of a new leadership structure, strategic customer acquisition and retention, and significant operational investment.
The Developing Future Talent award reflects Axiom’s commitment to skills development through its partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, including work experience placements, STEM workshops, equipment donations, and a leading apprenticeship scheme for both Engineering and Business Administration students.
Georgia Barrett-Wyatt is a finalist for ‘Business Apprentice: Final Year’ as Axiom’s first apprentice to take on a dual role in both the BDG and Planning departments. Now promoted to Junior Planner, she played a key role in mentoring Axiom’s newest administration apprentice and led efforts to improve On Time In Full (OTIF) performance within her team.
Cole Parry is a finalist for Engineering Apprentice: Final Year due to his passion for problem-solving, design, and mechanical engineering. Mentored by a senior machinist with over 40 years’ experience, Cole plays a key role in Axiom’s internal toolroom, leading KPI initiatives that ensure jigs and fixtures are delivered on time and exceed quality standards.
Olivia Jones, a finalist for Engineering Apprentice: Final Year, has led key projects at Axiom, including a gap analysis and packaging cost savings. She’s gained leadership experience overseeing a team of nine operators responsible for producing 70,000 boards, and promotes STEM careers through workshops with college students, factory tours, and participating in media campaigns.
