A South Wales based contract electronics manufacturer has launched its first apprenticeship scheme to strengthen its growing team.
Karl Higgins and Ieuan Scott, both from South Wales are the first apprentices to join the 220 strong team at Axiom Manufacturing Services to kick-start their careers in the electronics industry.
The new apprentices will be working towards qualifications in electrical/electronics engineering and tool-making.
HR Manager at Axiom, Tina Dunstan, said: “At Axiom we have always been keen to invest in new talent like Ieuan and Karl, and we are keen to play a key part in the development of future skilled workers for the electronics sector. The launch of this apprentice scheme is a great chance for us to do even more of this.
“We look forward to seeing these new additions to the team grow and develop their skills as they play a key role within Axiom, helping the company to develop towards maintaining its excellent reputation within both the manufacturing and electronics industries.”
Axiom Manufacturing Services provides hi-tech products and services to the medical, industrial, and more recently the defence and aerospace industries throughout the UK and Europe, and is currently one of the country’s top ten contract electronic manufacturers.
